We have seen technology make a powerful difference in the lives of caregivers. Technology used well can bring relief for caregivers, and a sense of increased safety for their loved ones. Technology also can bring greater independence, safety, and well-being to the lives of those who need it.
The issue is that it needs to be the right technology, used in the right way, at the right time, and applied in a customized way for the person who needs it. But when we get this match correct, technology can help a great deal.
We are privileged to be part of bringing this important topic to light, through the Larimer County Office on Aging virtual forum, “Empowering Caregivers Through Technology”. Click the link here:
Because it is virtual, anyone who is anywhere can join in. The forum takes place on Tuesday, April 27th, from 10-11:30 a.m. For more information on Larimer County’s Aging and Adult Services, click below:
We will hear from Jane Barton, nationally known expert on caregiving and palliative care, and from caregivers who are experts themselves…providing care for their own loved ones and using technology well.
So click on link above, and tune in. We hope you will, and we are confident you will be glad you did. Click below to download the event flyer:
Glad to be part of the community of carers,
Jill
