I will never regret this time of caring for my dad. I know that.
It has been an important time, not just because I am providing great care for my dad, but because the time with him, the time serving him, and the time caring for some of his most basic needs has brought me peace about my history with my dad.
It has helped me gain perspective on his life and understand how and why some things turned out the way they did. It has allowed me to look into his eyes and see the good man he truly is.
I will never regret this time.
