Recently, I spent time with a companion who expressed to me that when it comes to seniors or those experiencing dementia, “we just get put in a corner.”
She has felt that society has pushed seniors to a corner and often disregards them.
We have the ability to make a difference by simply noticing, taking time for, and genuinely engaging with our companions who are older or those who are experiencing dementia.
Let’s respect our elders & this season of sharing, reflecting, and honoring. We have to do better!
