She was a class act. She was learned, well-read, and intelligent. A librarian at heart and by profession. She was an explorer and a learner.
She was gifted in photography and design; a natural at bringing beauty from the outside into her home.
Her mom had Alzheimer’s disease, and she regularly declared that she would, too. So when her cognition began to change, she took it in stride. She didn’t fight it. She handled it with grace and bravery. She didn’t complain when a move away from home became necessary. She didn’t complain when her skills became less able. She didn’t make it hard for those who were caring for her.
She was one of the good ones. And she will be missed.
I am glad I got to be someone who knew her.
With gratitude,
Jill
