Stories from the Airplane

I recently traveled on an airplane and had an experience I want to share with you.

Just like the child in the story, our companions with dementia would still feel the popping in their ears, but because of their changing cognitive skills, they may not be able to interpret what they are feeling correctly.

They need a companion who understands they will need some help solving their discomfort. I’m so grateful to the DAWN method for helping me understand this and teaching me how to be a companion who knows how to help.

Listen to the video to hear the story.
